In 2021, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, a unique project laid the foundation for what would later become EduArt Robotik GmbH. A long-term customer approached the founders with a challenge: to create a robotic platform for the company’s own training department. The goal was to provide apprentices and students with a comprehensive learning tool for both hardware and software aspects of robotics.

The platform was to be designed with flexibility and sustainability in mind. It needed to offer numerous interfaces for future expansions, allowing a wide range of sensors and actuators to be integrated. At the same time, the construction had to be robust yet easy to repair, so that any damage during experiments or training could be fixed quickly without high costs.

The first version of the robot, named "Eduard" , was developed by Markus Fenn in close collaboration with Professor May as part of what became known as the “Corona Project.” The prototype quickly proved its value in practical training scenarios.

The customer was highly satisfied with the results – so much so that they immediately placed an order for 17 units. This success story marked the official beginning of EduArt Robotik GmbH, setting the stage for a new era of accessible and adaptable robotics education.
