In 2022, the Eduard robot, equipped with high-precision motors from Faulhaber, took center stage as the company’s official mascot at Hannover Messe. For the event, Eduard was placed inside a transparent glass display, where it performed flawless rectangular driving patterns throughout the exhibition days.
The presentation drew large crowds, with countless visitors stopping by to learn more about the robot and, in particular, its Mecanum drive system. This special wheel technology allows the robot to move not only forward and backward, but also sideways and diagonally – all without changing its orientation. Each Mecanum wheel is fitted with rollers at a 45° angle, enabling smooth omnidirectional motion.
To promote Eduard’s appearance at the trade fair, a 3D animation of the booth was produced and published online. The animation was widely shared on LinkedIn and other social media channels, drawing attention to the innovative design and technology behind Eduard.
